Jesse Fahy is the VP – Private Capital at Preqin, the alternative assets industry’s leading source of data, insights, and solutions. Jesse leads a team of over 20 analysts responsible for direct engagements with fund managers across the private capital industry. Jesse has full ownership of this dataset, with he and his team responsible for the quality, growth and dissemination for the Americas. Prior to this, Jesse led the venture capital efforts at Preqin, helping to set strategy for the asset class globally, and was one of the first analysts working on the hedge fund product when he first joined the company.
During this session we will do a full 2020 market overview for the Private Debt and Real Estate industries, drawing on insights from Preqin’s soon to be published Global Reports and proprietary data. We will examine how the two asset classes fared through the lens of fundraising, performance, and deal activity before looking ahead to 2021 and beyond to try and forecast where they might be heading.

In this presentation Preqin will be giving a summary of findings from its 2020 Global Reports, as well as looking into the effect COVID-19 has had on the Alternative Assets Industry.
