Isabella Vallory is an associate at S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Credit Risk Solutions. As a leading member of the Americas Scorecard team, she focuses on product development, analytical innovation and thought leadership of the U.S. public finance segment. She delivers credit risk management solutions for institutions of different sizes and specialties with a primary focus in the Americas region. Prior to this role, Ms. Vallory held various roles at S&P Global Market Intelligence where she provided award-winning client support and product training. Ms. Vallory holds a Postgraduate Teaching course and a summa cum laude Bachelor Degree of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Salvador (Buenos Aires, Argentina) where she has worked as an Associate Professor teaching International Economics/ Finance.
COVID-19 has been adversely disrupting all sectors of the economy, however, in the United States, few asset classes could experience the magnitude of potential credit deterioration as the US Municipal Market. From October 2020 onwards, municipal issuers started reporting the first audited financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2020. We believe these are the first financial results that reflect the impact of COVID-19 on municipal issuers.
