Ms. Barker works with institutional investors and lenders. Prior to joining Sunstone, Ms. Barker held executive positions within the financial services industry including serving as Vice President, Relationship Manager for several commercial banks, in the greater Los Angeles market, focused on lending to real estate investors and businesses. Ms. Barker’s accounting background includes fund accounting with The Capital Group, as well as general corporate and public accounting. Ms. Barker earned a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School.

Risk is managed through a comprehensive due diligence and underwriting process with investment committee oversight. Hands-on portfolio management is effected from acquisition through disposition. Sunstone's markets include Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and Nevada.
