Urban Splash: Changing Disused and Unloved Buildings into Thriving Communities
Established in 1993 by the forward-thinking and pioneering duo of Tom Bloxham MBE and Jonathan Falkingham MBE, Urban Splash has been transforming disused and unloved buildings and sites around the UK for over 25 years. With no business plan and big ideas, Tom and Jonathan were told "it will never work." That comment drove them to succeed, and now, Urban Splash has become a thriving business in the real estate industry with their head office located at 16-22 Worsley Street, Manchester, M15 4LD, GB.
Over the years, Urban Splash has notched up over 400 awards for their work in regeneration, architecture, design, place-making, marketing, and business. They have built more than 5,000 homes and 1.5 million square feet of workspaces, creating numerous great communities in the process. Their developments can be found in cities such as Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Bristol.
The driving force behind Urban Splash's success is its people. Comprised of 170 brilliant, passionate, and driven individuals, the team is determined to bring their developments to life. These colleagues work out of the head office at Timber Wharf in Manchester, live sites like Park Hill in Sheffield, Avro in Manchester, Port Loop in Birmingham, and Lakeshore in Bristol, and in their very own modular House factory.
In the modular House factory, Urban Splash efficiently creates their brilliantly-designed houses, which are then delivered to sites for their customers. This innovative approach to housing allows them to provide high-quality homes that cater to the needs of modern living while also contributing to the regeneration of urban spaces.
Urban Splash is 25 years into a brilliant, bold journey, and with their experience and passion for transforming disused spaces, they still have lots more great work to do. As they continue to grow and expand their reach, they remain committed to telling their story and showcasing their impact on communities across the UK.
