Dr. Nansen Saleri Wants to “Google-ize” Oil industry:
QRI Founder to Give Keynote at FLAIA Artificial Intelligence Conference
MIAMI (April 10, 2019) — Dr. Nansen G. Saleri, CEO of QRI, a leading advanced analytics firm, and former executive of Saudi Aramco, says he wants to “Googlize” the oil industry by making key exploration and production data available to companies large and small at the speed of light.
Saleri, will deliver a keynote address at the Second Annual Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Forum 2019 in Hollywood, FL., the Florida Association for Alternative Investments announced today.
“For ten years, Dr. Saleri was the chief architect of Saudi Aramco’s successful reservoir management programs,” said Michael Corcelli, Founder and Chairman of FLAIA. “Today, through his own company’s disruptive innovations in augmented artificial intelligence (AI), he is helping exploration and production players to quickly maximize their ability to extract oil and gas from the reservoirs they control.”
The two-day ABC Forum, to be conducted April 30-May 1 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, will focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning developments, blockchain trends and issues ranging from practical application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to tokenization of assets, regulation and new legislation.
Saleri’s appearance comes at a critical time for the oil industry worldwide as it seeks to increase the efficiency of oil extraction while meeting growing government and societal demands emanating from environmental concerns including global warming.
“Reservoir management is the most important aspect of oil production,” Saleri says. “How can you obtain maximum extraction and subsurface hydrocarbons efficiently and cost effectively while being carbon neutral? The world has changed, and we must offer fresh and bold solutions very different than the past,” says Saleri.
“There is no more room for E&P companies that are mediocre in producing a barrel of oil,” he says. This is the age of “Extreme Efficiency”.
Saleri says QRI is striving relentlessly to provide solutions through augmented data analytics and Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics. The company is rolling out transformative data products that are user friendly and cost-efficient to independent medium and small sized oil explorers and producers, in effect “Google-izing” industry information that was previously available only to the largest industry players, at speeds and sophistication levels unprecedented before.
Dr. Saleri is Chairman and CEO of Houston-based Quantum Reservoir Impact (QRI). He holds advanced degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia and holds six patents. He is a sought-after opinion leader on global energy issues with credits including the Wall Street Journal, Houston Chronicle, Reuters, Bloomberg and CNBC. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ prestigious John Franklin Carl Award.
Prior to Saudi Aramco, he worked as manager of reservoir engineering for Chevron, and has been involved in worldwide projects.
His current firm’s clients include the largest oil companies in the world, including PEMEX and the Kuwait national oil company.
Saleri and fellow QRI executive, CTO Dr. David Castineira were featured on the cover of the March 2019 edition of Energy CIO Insights, an online/print magazine for technology professionals who face challenges leveraging technology for their organizations. QRI was selected as one of the top 10 forefront companies by CIO Insights for providing Artificial Intelligence solutions.
At the ABC Forum 2019, Saleri will address asset managers, entrepreneurs, investors and global thought leaders who want information on the latest market developments in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, big data and prediction markets, trading and investing in companies disrupting the value chain.
